All Bonds are subject to your Association's terms on the back of your bond. You may represent yourself as bonded once your bond is issued, but only under the terms of an honor bond, not a State or surety, insurance, bail or other type of bond-- see your association's terms for full details. Some common bonds required include professions that visit homes or require insurance for their work such as locksmiths, pet care, gunsmiths, bodyguards, background investigators, etc. Professions that work exclusively in an office such as programmers usually do not require them. Some combat instruction, martial arts, law enforcement etc. instructors require bonds to lower their insurance rates. In some cases we've seen, even a low cost bond can reduce insurance rates by $100 a month.
